My first guess based on the cover was prog-rock. But the style of this demo is not really prog – more like keyboard-based 80s hard rock. Some songs, like “You Broke Down the Walls,” leans towards new wave/power pop. Other songs, like “Lord of the Universe,” are hard rock rompers. Seems that four of these songs were written in 1983, and the rest in 1987. The scan above doesn’t really fully capture the metallic nature of the cover. It looks pretty cool in real life.
