For some reason, I first thought that “Flamin’ Ratbags” was the name of the band. Then I scanned the j-card and noticed that the band was “Strike a Light.” Still not sure why you would name your tape or band or anything “Flamin’ Ratbags,” but maybe it is an Australian humor thing? This is kind of that cheesy rock that Rockin’ Rabbis and early Newsboys are known for. Cheesy lyrics, cheesy vocals styles, cheesy organs on all songs. This leans less towards the alternative side of things than the previously mentioned bands. Getting occasionally mod-ish like the song “Comic Book Heroes” (probably the most interesting song on the tape), but still middle of the road. Not as entertaining as the Rockin’ Rabbis in most cases. Not bad, just not really what I am into. Also, no date given – but I am guessing it was mid-80s or so. Had to repair the tape on this one to transfer it. The magnetic tape itself was fine – thankfully, not breaks there. But, if you have ever looked at tapes and noticed there is a transparent blue-ish tape connected to the spindle on one end and then the magnetic tape on the other (connected with a piece of white tape)? It seems the connective white tape lost its grip over time and just came off on this tape. Had to take the tape apart and tape it back together to get it to play. Probably haven’t done that since the 80s! Also, the label on both sides of the tape was intentionally printed upside down:

Maybe that was a reference to where the band is from? (Adelaide, Australia)?
