Side 2:

  1. Interview

This is the debut demo from Torn Flesh that went on to… notoriety?… with their full-length Crux of the Mosh album. This demo is fast thrash/punk metal, often played with more enthusiasm than skill. Some people love Torn Flesh, others hate them. They were in your face and ultra-conservative. And if you weren’t sure where they stand based in their lyrics lyrics, they include a 14 minute interview for you to know for sure. The interview is a bit painful to listen to, even if you agree with the theology – they were not as funny as they think they are. All four of these songs made it onto their follow-up demo Love Kills (according to the interview, it is the same songs as here, but possibly remixed). “Dead to the World” seems to be the only song that made it onto the full length Crux of the Mosh on Narrowpath Records. You can listen to the entire demo on YouTube:
