Can you say Ozzy? Yes there is a heavy Ozzy influence on vocals here, while the music is a bit of the No Rest for the Wicked-era Ozzy solo work mixed with commercial metal. The players on this tape were not listed, but since these demos (this was the first of four) have been re-issued on CD numerous times, it was easy to find out who played here. This is the Menchen brothers, known for their work with Final Axe, Titanic, and several other excellent metal bands. The riffs and songwriting here are top-notch metal. Some people I have noticed have problems with the vocals. There are some Ozzy impersonators that do a great job of copying Ozzy, and others that do a horribly strained attempt. The vocals here sound more like someone that naturally sounds like Ozzy, but not exactly. So if you are listening for an exact Ozzy copy-cat, you might not like where Bill differs from Ozzy. But if you just listen with no expectations, the vocals are pretty cool.
