Yeah, I know the cover doesn’t look metal at all really. I would have passed it over if I didn’t notice the 4th song title screams metal. Some of these bands really did a poor job “looking” metal on their demos. Sure, I realize these were mostly made to sell at shows or hand out with a press kit to get attention, but sometimes picture of the band or a V-shaped guitar would really help. Anyways, this is good quality late 80s metal – the kind of commercial metal that followed in the wake of Skid Row and Guns ‘n’ Roses. Bands like Hericane Alice and Shotgun Messiah come to mind. There is even a slight progressive hint here and there that reminds me of Holy Soldier. Seems they had at least one more demo after this one in 1993 that is possibly even more progressive metal in nature.
