Twitch was another noise / experimental act with several releases in the 90s. This one veers a bit more towards industrial than other noise / experimental acts. The distorted vocals, repetitive rhythms and found noise aspects (sometimes with TV or band clips that you recognize) really add to that vibe. Of course, the “vocals” are often noises and random vocal sounds as well as actual vocals, so this is still more noise than industrial. This was at least the second or third Twitch demo that I know of (Thank You – My Dear No One was released in 1996 and Reject #1 in 1997, but I don’t know if it was before or after this one), and it was followed by many more.

  1. rodent rocket records/static cling was a subdivision of cling recordings, with scott busbee at the helm. cling did releases for Frank’s enemy, corpse, eternal decision, among others. it wasn’t a Virginia label. this was the second tape. reject #1 and the i/ne came soon after. in 2003, i remixed silent kaos (with a “k” because i was a pretentious, self righteous teenager at the time) track by track, all of which is up at my alOne productions Bandcamp (lackthrow.Bandcamp.com)
jason from signalbleed showed me this page which is simultaneously awesome and embarrassing.

    1. Sorry – don’t mean to embarrass! I like music like this, even though I am not much of an expert. The city that I put there is supposed to be from the mailing address of the band or artist when the tape was released for some context, even though I sometimes get those mixed up while going through several tapes at a time.

      1. oh no! i didn’t mean to imply you had anything to do with the embarrassment! it has everything to do with the awfulness of some of the stuff i said/did back then. mortifying. i am genuinely ashamed, not of the music necessarily, but the rest of it. that va addy was mine, rodent rocket/cling was out of Wyoming, mi. (i just picked up a cd to look)
