Face of Five was probably one of the better underground alternative bands to not break through back in the day. Their main demo The Famous and Forgotten even gained the attention of Greg Flesch (of Daniel Amos fame) as well as other big names. This demo has five songs that would also appear on in The Famous and Forgotten in 1990. I’m not sure if this is an earlier demo or later one – but I would say earlier. These versions are mostly the same versions as the ones on their full-length demo, but with a few differences here and there. SO the best guess is that this was a demo leading up to The Famous and Forgotten in the late 80s, with mostly the same people playing on it. But I could be wrong. The sound is kind of a more complex, mature adult alternative sound like The Police were known for, with a touch of heartland rock thrown in here and there as well.
Missing Information: When was this released? Who all played on it?
Ken Roberts wasn’t a member of the group I don’t believe but rather a label producer/engineer. His name appears in that capacity for two releases by Texas based Christian blues act Stevie and the Saints:

He was listed as a member of the band (guitars) as well as a major songwriter on their 1990 tape The Famous and The Forgotten in 1990. He just seems to also be the Victoria LTD label head that worked with all of their bands: http://downthelinezine.com/cue/doku.php?id=face_of_five
