I have never really been able to tell if this band is parody or a serious attempt at humorous music. Or both They were on several compilation and tribute albums back in the day and even had a full-length 50 Year Reunion in 1997 on Bulletproof Music. So you have probably heard of them. But bands seriously trying to make this music generally don’t make it like this band did in the alternative rock space. This is basically just old-timey gospel hour music played on all kinds of traditional instruments. But lyrics to songs like “King James Bible” are obviously parody – or else they are just someone that really misunderstands why we have different translations of the Bible. All of these songs were used on their 1997 full length album – it even sounds a lot like they used the same recordings even.

  1. This is a spoof band, something done for fun. The band members were actually in a Christian heavy metal band, as their regular job. I forget the name.
