Hidden Faces continues to evolve into a 90s alt rock band with their next demo after 6 Song Demo. “Glorious Day” was on an ACM compilation in 1991, so you might have heard that song there. This demo has kind of a “live in studio” feel to it, so there is more guitar with a louder sound as well. The U2 influence is still present, but filtered through early 90s indie rock more than on past releases. The same year that they put out this tape, they also put out a six song tape that appears to be compilation of songs from their past demos. I don’t know if that one came out first or this one, but since there are two songs from this demo on that one, I am guessing this one was first. And this is tape is also actually a six song one as well – there is no printed label on the back, just the word “Mercy” in hand writing. That is apparently the name of the one track they put on side 2.
