Arrival – Ring of Honesty

Arrival
Ring of Honesty
1992 Independent
El Paso, Texas, USA

J.J. Plasencio – All guitars
Bill Schmidt – Percussion
Keith Giles – Vocals, lyrics

  1. Three Long Nails
  2. Ring of Honesty
  3. Battle Lines
  4. Double Rainbows

This is the third and final demo by Arrival, following up on their 1990 full-length The Water. After this, Keith Giles would join Unknown Soldier before forming Elysian Skies. J.J. Plasencio would go on to join some band called Sixpence None the Richer – whoever they are. This is probably also Arrival’s best songwriting – still alternative rock, but just taken to the next level. I don’t have this tape – Keith Giles pointed out it was on his SoundCloud page so I took a listen. You can also find most of The Water on that page as well. I have heard that tape, so I listened to this one first. But I will get back to reviewing The Water on here soon as well. Oh, and if for some reason you haven’t heard Elysian Skies, you need to track that one down as well.

Missing: Scans of cover and tape
