Armor comes jumping out of the gate with an early to mid-80s sounding heavy metal sound. There isn’t a date on the tape, so I can’t get sure when this was released. But the music and style seem to remind me a bit of early Saint or Apostle, even though the vocals would be closer to something like Daniel Band. With a name like Armor, you could easily see this band sharing the stage with either of those bands. They do throw in a couple of more commercial metal songs at the end, but nothing too wimpy as to lose their metal cred. They seem to have another demo called Putting It On with a different line-up, but I don’t know if that one was before or after this one.

  1. I don’t remember the years either were recorded, but “Putting It On” came after this one you have posted here. I know this because the guitarist is my dad lol
They got a new lead singer and bass player and if I’m remembering correctly the second tape was basically a four song demo. They were really good songs too!
    Are these available to purchase?
