This is the debut demo from Above See Level. Their sound is pretty much in line with early 90s rap – bands like Dynamic Twins and SFC come to mind. Like those bands, Above See Level make use of instruments and samples to give a fuller sound to the music under the rapping. This tape is only four songs, but they do a great job. “One Nation Under God” is the stand out track to me. About three years after this tape, they released their second tape called Bran Nu Lingo, which went in a gangsta rap direction. That seems to be about it for the total output of this group.
