To answer your main question, yes, this is THAT Disciple (there are at least 5 Disciple band from this time period). This was their third demo (after 1993’s Trail of Tears), taking place in a time period that the band later referred to as “practice runs.” You can still recognize Kevin Young’s vocals, even though they are more traditional metal in nature. You can also recognize elements of their later 90’s sound as well. But overall, they are less focused style-wise – jumping from traditional metal to groove metal to piano power ballads and back again. By 1995, they had found a more defined sound and recorded What Was I Thinking?, which the band considers their first true recording. “Stronghold” from this demo was re-recorded for that album. It’s not that this demo is bad – it kind of rocks – its just that they still seemed to be finding their later sound. Of course, the band is still going today, but only Young is still in the band, and they are more of a nu-metal / hard rock band now. Also, it seems most websites on the band are missing any details or a full scan of the entire cover, so the band members listed above are assumed. There could be missing details or personnel.

Missing Information: Full cover scan, confirmation of band members at this time.
