Unfailing Love
Swedish metal with a killer infusion of 70s hard rock sensibility. These songs are so good (and so well recorded) that it is hard to believe this a demo. The band can dial in some nice riffs and addicting choruses. They started out as Borderline before this demo, and went on to release several full-lengths. Lead singer Christian Liljegren went on to front several bands, including Narnia. But I believe everyone in band kept active in various bands after Modest Attraction. Liljegren has been posting on Facebook recently about reissues, so there may be some good news for people (like me) that could never afford the high price of their rare later CDs. After this demo they released Modest Attraction II in the same year. Then it looks like the songs for both tapes were released on one CD in 1992 called Get Ready. “Unfailing Love” from this demo was also re-recorded for their 1994 CD The Truth in Your Face in 1994.
