Appian Way kind of has a mix of alternative rock (closer to the Dead Milkmen) mixed with some  punk rock influences like The Ramones. The guitars are not distorted, but not acoustic either – The Alarm or The Call is a good reference point here. Well, I say that and they turn up the distortion on “Faith in a Glass.” The tape production was a bit rough – it seems they suddenly cut off the first song a bit early. I think fans of Mark Krischak would find a lot to like here. They followed this tape with 1991’s The Missing Link. “Sin of the World” seems to have been re-recorded for their 1991 tape.
