I am generally not a huge collector of bootleg concerts – mainly because I don’t have time, but also because I really don’t need 20 versions of the bands playing only songs on their albums. Plus, most of the rare bands covered here don’t have bootlegs out there. But when they do, it’s usually a good chance to get an unreleased song or two. In this case, the bootleg that was floating around had two unreleased tracks and an unreleased demo. This is the Golgatha that released Prisoner, which itself has been re-issued through the years (sometimes with live bonus tracks). “Lost in the Night” and the instrumental track are not on any of the re-issues that I know of, as are neither of the last two tracks which are demos. All of these are pretty decent quality, and they continue down the same traditional metal/power metal path as we heard on Prisoner – although they do seem to be drifting towards commercial metal a little bit. There is also a lesser quality bootleg from early 1986 with a large number of unreleased songs – “To the Light,” “Shipwrecked,” “Seeds of Destruction,” “Dead or Alive,” and “Rock Until the Final Day” along with one that I can’t hear what they say that I have called “The Almighty.” The main members from this band went on to form Valor and Crossforce, while some others are said to have joined Soldier and Mercy.
