This is the first demo by Empty Tomb, who went on to release a lot of demos and gain some notoriety in the underground. They even had their demos collected and released on a 2 CD set by Veritas Vinyl in 2012. All of these songs were included on that compilation, but the CD re-issue got side 1 and 2 switched when it came to these songs. Empty Tomb was a hardcore crossover thrash punk band that didn’t really fit only in any one of those styles. They also had some brash lyrics that some found judgmental. Time has not been too kind to some of their thoughts – for example, their anti-A.C.L.U. song doesn’t seem to realize that the A.C.L.U. (not a perfect organization by far) has actually helped Christian groups more than any others through the years. But then again, that was pretty much all punk rock bands (even those outside the Christian realm) back in the day – find some strawmen and keep attacking. After this, they released Live Like a Dead Man in 1990.
