There are a few other Urgents out there, but this is the female-fronted 80s rock one from Illinois. I say “80s rock” because there is some new wave, some post punk, some alt rock, and even a touch of disco here and there – kind of what many bands did back in the 80s. You could also think of the first Barnabas album minus any metal leanings. Songs like “I Don’t Run” get close-ish to hard rock, but don’t really cross over into that genre. I’m not sure if Sugar Records was a full-blown label or not, but Xara and September had releases on that label as well.
