From what I understand, this is one of three demos by Diamond Tyr. Before this, one they have a 1990 demo. There is also a demo called When Your Near that was also released in 1991 – but I don’t know which of these two was released first. But this is the first demo I have heard from the band, so on this one they are a commercial metal band with some slight glam leanings. This is pretty much in line with what other bands were doing in 1991 as well – perfecting the commercial metal sound by dropping any glam excess… right before grunge killed it all. There is even a bit of a progressive metal edge to some of the songs.
