This was another demo I took a chance on – hoping it would be as metal as the credits made it sound. And this time – I was actually right! The performance and song writing is a bit rough in places, but that is to be expected with demos. The first song starts off with almost a Rez Band hard rock feeling, trading off between male and female vocals. The vocals are a bit heavier than the music here – making it sound like a mix of Rez and Barnabas. The addition of sound effects and demon voices gives this tape a rock opera feeling. The second track brings in an early Saint feeling to the music – power classic metal. Since this came out in 1989, you get the feeling that they took the entire early Pure Metal/Intense Records catalog and blended it together for their sound, while adding in some different ideas like the interesting way they add in background vocals. FYI, this is not the same Rapture from New Mexico. The song list on the tape cover is not correct – I have listed the correct song order above.
