There is no date on this tape, but another tape by this band (Say Your Prayers) was reviewed in the February 1993 issue of The Cutting Edge. I don’t know if that tape was before or after this one, or if that review was late or timed to match the release date. That review said the other tape looked cheesy, but reminded the reviewer of Messiah Prophet. I can see that comparison working here as well. The vocals are high-pitched and would be seen as parody today, but this was serious metal back in the day. So it is a mix of traditional and power metal with a lot of oomph like Messiah Prophet, although a few different influences in the mix.
