While there are several bands called Ignite out there, this is the one from Australia that appeared on a Rowe compilation or two and then released The Cracked Mirror EP in 1995 on Rowe Productions as well. “Sanctuary,” “Nightmares,” and “It” were all re-recorded for that ep as well. This demo starts off as kind of classic-rock influenced hard rock band, but seem to mix in some mid-90s groove metal influences as well. You also find various punk and metal influences or break downs here and there as well (see the punk rock breakdown in “Nightmares”). Some songs, like “Lungbuster,” really stay in the hard rock realm just shy of heavy metal.  But they do go more definitely metal on their follow-up EP.
