The Blitz Band is the band that Mark Proctor joined after leaving the 77s. A long time ago, someone sent me a bootleg video of the 77s in concert, and it randomly had this song called “No Party in Hell” on there with Proctor singing. I asked around about it, but no one knew much about it. Through the years, various versions of “No Party in Hell” have surfaced on 77s re-issues. Proctor did tell the story about how he wrote this song for the 77s and tried to convince Mike Roe to sing it.  However, Roe insisted that Proctor sing it instead, so he would when it was played live. It was even possibly going to be included on All Fall Down until Proctor left the band. “No Party in Hell” has a heavy AC/DC influence on it. The other songs are also hard rock and rock, with some AC/DC boogie rock influence, but not quite as much as “No Party in Hell.” They even cover a few 77s tunes, like “How Can You Love” and “It’s So Sad.” At one time, they were talking of re-issuing these songs on CD or even recording new songs, but I don’t think that has happened yet.
