This Triumph is a Christian alternative rock band, not the Canadian prog rock/metal band most are familiar with. Bands like The Call, The Alarm, and U2 are probably closer references style-wise, although they do lean a bit towards the pop rock side more than the alt rock side of those bands. This tape is a fairly slick production and a well played/produced full length album. The tape cover is even one of those that wrap all the way around the back instead of just half-way. Haven’t seen one of those in the demo collection in a while! The tape mentions that this is also available on CD. Also of note – this band was part of the Ears & Eyes Productions group that Royal Rendezvous was involved with, and they even put out a tape in the “7Trax” series as well. Final note – Norman Barret produced this, as well as playing guitar on “Cry Freedom” and singing backing vocals on “Take My Life.”
