How much do you want to bet that this band spent a lot of time telling people “we are referring to spiritual battles, not actually attacking people with tanks!” To be fair, their lyrics really don’t use violence as a spiritual warfare metaphor like so many other bands did. The sound here is a 90’s commercial/heavy metal variety. While there is a hint of grunge here and there, they really mostly steer clear of any mid-90s clichés like that. As the tape goes on, you start noticing that there is more of a distinct Barren Cross influence on side 2. When you go back, you can hear it on Side 1 as well, but it seems more restrained than on side 2.
