Well, the name might sound more than a bit cheesy, but the band comes galloping out of the gate with a traditional/power metal sound. The band picture on the j-card gives out a bit of a Barren Cross feel, but the music feels more like they would fit more on a bill with Saint, early Leviticus, and Messiah Prophet. The title track is a pretty blistering traditional metal anthem. Lots of references to swords and fighting here, but of course that is part of what this style does. It’s all metaphorical references to spiritual warfare, of course. And come to think of it, there is a noticeable Iron Maiden/Barren Cross influence as the tape goes along. It seems the band did go power metal and changed names to Thunderchild as a result.
