100% Proof was an early British Christian Hard Rock / Metal band that got some international attention back in the day. Their previous 1981 self-titled album was put out by Myrrh Records. This release has a label, just not one that I have heard of – so it may have been self-released. The music kind of rides the line between traditional heavy metal and commercial early 80s hard rock, so you sometimes see them classified as either style. They do lean more towards the hard rock side if you ask me, but either way they had developed some impressive song writing abilities through the years.

  1. The S.B. Records Label Initials Stands for Stuart Beard He was the 100% Proof Lighting engineer. Stuart fronted the band the money to do this album , which by the way after the band disbanded in 1984 the Master recording’s for this album were sold to Kosher Records in America. (You might remember seeing there ads in early HM Mags?)Thus you have the Power and Glory Yellow Vinyl release on Kosher records in 1987 directly from those Master tapes! I believe this cassette tape was released “Posthumous “after band disbanded and was made from the Kosher Records Master’s around 1985/86. they just used the S.B instead of Kosher name? The sound quality on this cassette tape is far superior to the original S.B Records 1983 (UK) vinyl release The guitars/bass/drums are very LOUD and CLEAR Less muddy mix ! AMAZING by 1983 standards this Album is BEYOND INCREDIBLE !
