This tape starts off with one of those metal screams that often gets lampooned by others – starting low and moving up into much higher registers. But of course, metal heads love this. Urgent Message starts with a traditional metal sound with some slight progressive and power metal influences. Think a mix of Recon and Sacred Warrior. They get a little more commercial and melodic on the next two tracks, but not too much. And then they end with a piano power ballad. I don’t know if this band did anything else before or after this demo.
A fantastic demo! One of my favorite bands. I wish, they had done more.
