If you were guessing this is a medieval throw-backcore or whatever… you would be correct! Yes, this is mostly played in a medieval style – probably more Hollywood influenced than what they really did back then, but you never know. “Rosie” is the “Ring Around the Rosie” song, but in more minor chords and lilting cadence. In general, it is folk music with lots of older instruments added – and some keyboards here and there as well. Of course, they didn’t put a copyright date on this – and it is impossible to place the style in a decade due to the fact that… well… they are playing a 1348 style of music. But still, something kind of cool and different. Also of note, Carnival of Souls is another band that Owston was in, and they released a tape called Shaking of the Sheets as well.
