Based on the cover, I kind of expected an Americana roots-rock album. The first track takes off with a frantic quirk DIY alt-rock number. The second track is kind of like power pop meets roots rock. Almost all vocals and instruments are by Coretti – so there is a noticeable drum machine presence in the music. The third track reminds me some of Springsteen’s “Born the Run” – with a drum machine and distorted DIY guitars that is. So, yeah – I am not sure really how to classify this album. There is also a punk sensibility in the guitars and song writing – kind of like the early Altar Boys in places. Imagine if you could slightly mix Rick Elias, the Altar Boys, and Marc Plainguet in a blender.
