I keep wanting to spell this one “Trail,” but it is Trial. Their real name probably makes more sense for a Christian Metal band. But the band starts off with some galloping power metal that borders on thrash or speed metal at times. They also like long songs that tend to change tempo a couple of times during the song, so there is a slight progressive influence as well. That is kind of what you get for the whole tape, except for “The Ballad of Ralf,” which is a kind of guitar solo with a dog bark and whining over it. They also have a 1989 self-titled demo as well.
