I have seen this tape described as both AOR and alternative rock. It really doesn’t always quite fit into either category, but if you are thinking Journey when you think AOR – well, it is nothing like that. The first track is kind of power pop with a bit of rockabilly sensibility here and there. The second song is more what people would think when they hear alternative rock, especially from 1990. And really, the rest of the album stays somewhere between alternative rock and power pop, with both male and female lead vocals. But I could see where songs like “His Eyes” would appeal to AOR fans, even though I would say it is more alternative. And yes, all 7 people on the front cover are listed in the band. But,  four of them did not record on this tape, and four other people who are not in the band helped record this tape.
