Not really sure if this tape fits in the scope of this blog, but some of the songs probably do. For some reason, I thought her full name was “Nia Dynamite,” but it turns out this is the second release by an artist that just goes by “Nia.” I thought based on the cover that I might find a former pop artist that goes AOR rock, or maybe even dance. But the this still seems to be rock that leans to pop for the most part. More rocking than Amy Grant, but not near Cindy Cruise. The first side stays mostly in the pop rock category with several ballads. “Everyone Falls in Love” and “Little by Little” do have a bit of an AOR edge to them, though. Side 2 does have two songs – “Love to Last” and “I Belong” that get a lot closer to AOR territory.
