This is the Loose Unit album that most people might have heard of (if any), since the song “Who Am I Now” was included on the HM magazine Pick of the Liter Volume 1 compilation. It looks like there are 11 songs, but it is really 8 full length songs and 3 various tracks (a short prelude to “Real Nice Person” that is not before the actual song, a radio recording, and a dramatic reading about monsters). The last track is also an a kind of industrial version of “Schitzophrenic TV” (that is how they spell it). The sound is a bit hard to describe – generally they are a groove metal meets funk metal band, but other influences (like the grunge-y “Who Am I Now”) are also sprinkled throughout the album. It’s kind of like Precious Death meets Scapegoat meets Dig Hay Zoose. “The Big M” is also on 1993’s Skots Room (but I don’t know which tape was released first). A live version of “Gurus” also appears on 1996’s Limited Edition Bootleg tape.
