I’m not totally sure what exact flavor of heavy metal this band is going for – its kind of power-pop-ish, kind of commercial, and kind of neoclassical all at once on the first track. That probably is the point – come up with their own unique spin on commercial metal. But it is a really short demo – two tracks and a short instrumental – so its hard to tell if you would like their overall sound, or just the two songs on the demo. But that is true of all short demos. The second track is an acoustic ballad, while the third instrumental track is a near neoclassical shred number. I’d really like to hear twice the number of tracks here at least to get an idea of the band’s identity, but they do show a good amount of promise.
