Have you ever wondered what an entire album of ballads would sound like? I’m slightly kidding here, but the name of the band and tape gives you the sense that there would be some faster, heavier music. The first track kind of almost gets to light rock, but then it is three ballads in a row. Then back to a light rock track to lead off side 2. But wait: you think “Open Up” is a ballad, but then the actual hard rock guitars kick in. It is still a mid-paced rocker, but they do finally get the loud guitar and rock in there. The song “Urgency” kind of continues the mid-paced hard rock sound. They close out with “A-Bomb,” their heaviest and best track of the set. Still hard rock at best, but an interesting progression of songs.
