Don’t know who this band is – it was on the back of the Lovewar 4-96 demo (but it obviously is not them). It was originally taped over a church sermon. I don’t know if someone in Lovewar put them on the back of the tape on purpose, or if someone in Lovewar got this demo from another band and just recorded their stuff on the back to save space. So it could be a band related to Lovewar, or totally not. The sound reminds me a lot of Scapegoat, but with a bit less funk and a bit more serious. But I have checked these songs with every Scapegoat song I have, and none of the songs match. The vocalist and guitar tones sound a lot like Scapegoat though, and the Spanish intro to the fourth track would be something they did as well. Obviously, the song titles above are a guess. The label did have the word “Dotweek” written on it before it was scratched out. Name of the band? Name of a band member? A reference to “Dot Week”? Or a note to “do some tweaks” before releasing? The world may never know.
